Reading Time: 2 minutesYou may have the best screwdriver of the world, but if you’re using it to hammer a nail, you won’t be very successful, right?
Technology facilitated tons of tasks with easy-to-use software, but too many people expect the tools to fix the problems themselves. Project management is no different.
You can have amazing software for project management and you are still struggling to get things done. Let’s be honest: you are not even updating the project management software because it’s worthless. Nobody on your team is using it! So, you blame the tool once again and look for a new one, expecting to get different results with the same routine.
Project management – the mindset
It’s a matter of mindset, not tools.
Don’t force your team into some tool to manage projects. Make them understand your vision: managing time efficiently will improve your process, reduce errors and finally make your business thrive.
We manage our projects mixing three methodologies: design thinking, agile and lean.
Design Thinking
We stand in our client’s shoes and understand what they are struggling with. Then, we define, ideate and prototype. We use several visual tools to do it. Check our brain section!
Agile
We work in sprints. We laser-focus on what we are currently doing and avoid any distraction. Establishing priorities is a huge part of our job because when everything is a priority, nothing really is.
Lean Thinking
We ship and fix. We get feedback as fast as possible to improve our products and develop only what really matters to our clients.
This is how we summarize it:

Overdelivering in record time is our purpose. We are continuously improving our process. We focus on methodologies, more than tools. Yes, the software we use may facilitate our tasks, but it won’t make a huge impact without what we stated. Do you have any other tips to share? Leave a reply or get in touch!
